Storyline

Felix, an American, is employed as a bookkeeper at a large hacienda in Cuba. Juan, a half-breed overseer of the estate, loves the planter's daughter. He makes brutal advances to her, and the girl is saved from his violence by Felix. Juan is deposed as overseer and Felix is given the position. The story is characterized by hard fighting

One of the leading actors in this two-reel drama of Cuba's fight for liberty is a trained Arabian horse. The story is characterized by hard fighting and an exciting prison escape at which the horse greatly assists. The hero is a young American, who defends a wealthy Cuban's daughter from the advances of a rascal. After a number of adventures, during which the father becomes the debtor of the American, the young people marry. The reconciliation with the Spanish officer at the end is a novel touch. Some of the scenes are excellent. - The Moving Picture World, January 24, 1914
